About us

Alpha’s founder has operated in the Australian vehicle industry since 2006 providing fleet services in meeting with consumer demand, and today controls Alpha Car Hire and Parking, Alpha Finance and Autos businesses.

With the new year and new business opportunities, the Group’s Finance & Accounting division is seeking two roles, a Chief Financial Officer, and a Senior Accountant who will work seamlessly together at our head office located in Brisbane’s CBD, in a solutions-focused and fast paced environment with daily display of honesty, accountability, respect, trust and loyalty in business undertakings.

Our opportunities, responsibilities, and requirements

The Chief Financial Officer will report directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for managing the company’s finances, including budgets, cashflows/ treasury, financial forecasting and financial risk management and the day-to-day management of team members. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, business, economics, and/or an MBA, be CPA qualified with extensive finance team leadership and senior management experience with proven strong interpersonal and communication skills for engagement and productivity.

The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for managing all major reporting and reconciliation duties, profit and loss, balance sheet, asset management (fleet) and payroll. The successful candidate will be tertiary qualified, with demonstrated abilities in general or tax accounting, computerised ledger systems, advanced knowledge of Excel, strong problem solving and analytical skills, and a proven ability to perform at a high pace cross functionally in an ever-changing business landscape and work environment.

Risk And Compliance Manager - Spring Hill

About us

Alpha Group’s Finance business is seeking a part-time (15-20 hrs/wk neg.) Risk and Compliance Manager to oversee and be responsible for the businesses risk and compliance with a primary focus on the finance business. The successful candidate will be expected to implement sustainable improvements through recommendation, training and advisory with a proactive approach.

Role responsibilities

Located at Alpha's Brisbane head office, the Risk and Compliance Manager will report directly to the General Manager of Intrinsic Finance and be responsible for

  • Driving and developing compliance strategy and reporting through process audits and training
  • Managing industry risk and compliance obligations with provision of staff training
  • Manage and maintain key stakeholder relationships including ASIC, Office of Fair Trading, OAIC, QCAT and AFCA
  • Manage and capture all internal and external dispute resolutions for audit and reporting purposes
  • Undertake and oversee audits and system integrity checks
  • Establish, implement, and maintain risk and compliance policies and procedures

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in a senior compliance role within banking, financial services, insurance or similar sector, desirable
  • Strong technical and working knowledge of compliance framework, principles, privacy obligations and the Australian regulatory landscape
  • Proven experience with incident/ complaint management and reporting
  • Eligibility to act as a responsible manager under Alpha’s Credit License or work with the responsible manager so obligations are satisfied

Alpha Car Hire has a casual Customer Experience Representative opportunity available at our Logan, Brisbane location. You will be responsible for attending to customers hire vehicle requirements ensuring our customers receive quality service and an experience they would repeat, share, or recommend. The available role will be worked in accordance with a seven (7) day rotating roster including weekends and required to work within the branch operating hours of Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday 8am to 4pm and Sunday 8am to 12pm.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with hourly award rates per applicable award classifications alongside superannuation according to the Super Guarantee.

Your role and responsibilities:

• Providing outstanding customer service by understanding and anticipating their needs

• Opening and closing rental agreements

• Selling additional over the counter rental products

• Managing reservations

• Conditioning returned vehicles

• Checking for and recording vehicle damage

• Movement of vehicles on and offsite for refuelling, maintenance, repairs, delivery to customers or other location Occasional cleaning and presenting passenger and commercial vehicles

About the role

We are now looking for a Branch Supervisor at our Tweed Heads, Gold Coast location to serve as a link between our onsite staff and Business Manager and be responsible for coaching and customer resolutions while also performing Customer Experience Representative and Vehicle Preparation Attendant responsibilities. The available role is approximately 38 hours per week with 7 day rotating roster during the branch hours of 7am and 7pm, Monday to Sunday. The successful candidate will be rewarded with an annual base salary range $65,000-$68,250 commensurate with knowledge, skills and experience, Superannuation according to the Super Guarantee.

Your role and responsibilities:

• Supervises the day-to-day operations at location

• Opening and closing car rental agreements

• Providing outstanding customer service

• Selling additional over the counter car rental products

• Managing bookings

• Vehicle cleaning and conditions tasks, when required

• Checking for and recording vehicle damage

• Driving and ferrying vehicles

• Assist the Business Manager to manage and support the branch staff ensuring their high performance and engagement on shift.
