See the lights and sounds show all across the city. Start off by checking out Vivid LIVE at the Sydney Opera House where the Opera House is transformed into an animated canvas which will serve as the centrepiece as the sky is lit up by images of the First Nations’ spirituality. Accompanying the artwork projected on the Sydney Opera House are songs composed by Rhoda Roberts and Damien Robinson of Wicked Beat Sound System.
Be sure to also visit all of the other locations of Vivid Sydney to get the full experience: Circular Quay, The Rocks, Martin Place, Darling Harbour, Walsh Bay, Central Park, Chatswood, Carriageworks, Taronga Zoo, The Royal Botanic Garden, and The Galeries.

Good news! The Winter Festival is returning to Sydney this year. Once again you can immerse yourself in a world of enchantment, magic and wonder. Open-air ice rinks, fantastic winter themed rides, great food and entertainment for the whole family.

Sky Zone is Australia’s first indoor trampoline park. They have two locations in Sydney; Alexandria and Miranda, and both locations have over 100 trampolines connected to form one giant trampoline. With that amount of trampolines, you’ll be bouncing off the walls in no time, literally!
Bit of a warning though, if you’re bringing in kids around 3 years old or younger, it would be better to come at a time when there’s not a lot of people. This is not only for their protection, but it’s so they can maximise their enjoyment as well. With not a lot of people, the toddlers can access more areas than when if the place is packed.

Whale Watching

Winter is when whales traverse the distance from the Antarctic to Australia for warmer waters so this is the perfect time to catch a glimpse of these magnificent creatures. From early May to Late November, an estimated 20,000 Humpback Whales pass by Sydney each year.
Spend half a day relaxing on the deck of the vessel while waiting for a glimpse of the whales. And if you’re really lucky, you may be one of the few people who can get to see Migaloo, the famed white whale!
